What is an Overnight Doula and What do they do?

One of the most dreaded question for a new parent is “How’s the baby sleeping?" New parents' lives involve endless nights of feedings and diaper changes, which can leave them feeling exhausted and irritable so the answer is “ Not well! And neither are we!” At Butterfly Birthcare, we advocate for co-sleeping, but we understand that not all parents are keen on bed-sharing. We offer a solution: overnight care support from an experienced newborn care specialist who visits your home and takes over those nightly baby care tasks, allowing you to get a full night of deep, restorative sleep. Our services are suitable for both breastfeeding and formula-feeding families. We help establish a developmentally appropriate sleep routine that leads to sweet dreams for the entire household. But that's not all! Our overnight care package also includes light household duties such as laundry and dishes, giving you more time and energy during the day to focus on your baby. We leave detailed care notes for you, so that you are aware of what your baby did during the night. Here's a little peek into our notes and into the life of an overnight doula.
